An evening in the aura of dynastic heritage.

How often does one get an invitation to dine at the palace?  Who doesn’t thrill to spend an evening in the aura of dynastic heritage?  The royal invitation is hereby extended to you from 1135 AD.

1135 AD is appropriately named as it denotes the year the Kachwawa family founded the dynasty of the Rajputs at the same location where you will enjoy traditional Rajputana cuisine prepared in the kitchens of a long line of the Maharajahs.  Family recipes refined time and again and handed down over generations.  At 1135 AD you are dining within the walls of the Amer Palace itself.  While in residence consider how Rajasthani history was molded in these very rooms!

Getting there is an adventure in and of itself as in true imperial fashion 1135 AD is perched atop Cheel Ka Teela ‘Hill of Eagles’ of the Aravalli range.  The mountain fortress was purposely designed to make access achievable only by the worthy.  But the prize of the climb is without compare.  As you enjoy the incredible culinary experience you overlook the palace grounds, the Shahi Aangan courtyards, the Pink City glimmering in the distance.

Within the restaurant itself you are mesmerized by the glittering candelabra, the shining furniture, the immaculate table service, the antique carpets all upon ancient floors within ancient walls.  You are invited to visit the private dining areas of the Maharajas on the upper level.  All this surrounded by traditional melodies played in the time-honored ways.

Did we forget the food?  No.  The menu offers a variety of Rajasthani cuisine including junglee maas, a variety of items cooked in the tandoor, and you must try the house specialty…Amber Gosht so tender it melts in your mouth as it has been cooked ever so slowly with tender loving care.

So, mount your steed, hook up the chariot, or just call a taxi and come to 1135 AD.  Your table awaits.
